Tanja de Maesschalk and I first met during a photography workshop early last year. I was instantly captivated by the beauty of her work. Her soft, pure style of photography is romantic and timeless with an air of magic about it.
Tanja has a wonderful natural way of working with couples and I longed for my husband and I to be photographed by her. We are so rarely in front of the camera. Photos of us together are scarce; you might even say we’re elusive like leopards ;-) With our baby girl on the way, it was the perfect reason to book a photo session …so we did!
Am I happy? Oh yes! ;-)
That’s a 32 week belly right there.. it’s a wee bit bigger now I’m 38 weeks! ;-)
The one above makes me SMILE every time I see it, in fact most times I see it I have a little giggle to myself :-))))) I love to laugh, and I especially love to laugh with my hubby, love him so much!!

These photos aren’t just for our memories, they’re for our daughter too. We want her to know who we were before she arrived, to see how much we love each other and how excited we are as we wait for the day she decides it’s time to meet us.
Every kick, wriggle, summersault and hiccup is amazing, but more than anything now, we can’t wait to meet her.
