Impressions from May & June 2015 : a personal project

It’s time for another round of Impressions! It’s been an incredibly busy couple of months for my family. Sadly, my camera (including my iPhone camera! *shock*) hasn’t been getting nearly as much use as normal.

And the reason..?! We moved house! YAY!!

Here’s a few moments with the girls that I want to remember from May and June.

[1] The ‘shuffle’ began in early-May. Lea was on the move. (Slowly slowly on the move! Now she’s a speed demon! haha!)

[2] Oh Lea. Just want to breathe you in and eat you up. all. the. time.

[3] In June, we hit the road and drove 11 hours door-to-door (with a few rest stops along the way) to the island of Sylt in Northern Germany. There we saw a horse in every second field, or so it seemed. I love how excited Rebekka gets when she sees horses: “my horse, my horse!” this is what she’s looking at!

Her joy when she quietly tells the horses they are “beautiful” brought tears to my eyes, on several occasions during our trip. She sure makes my Mama heart overflow with love and pride..

[4] A few weeks after photo #1 above and Lea is pushing up and speeding along commando-style! And getting herself into all kinds of mischief, I might add! She has a lust for cables, remotes and mobile phones – all things that Rebekka was never interested in at that age (and still isn’t)! We didn’t really baby-proof with Rebekka, but for Lea, I have a feeling it’s going to be a whole different story!

[5] Rebekka’s horse. She quickly claimed this one as her own and said “Hello Horse” to it every day. Lucky us could even watch it graze from our living room window! We also found a field with ponies. Naturally she wants one! A pony and a little dog are currently top of her list..

[6] Back home in NL and Lea’s sitting up like a pro!

[7] I am crazy in love with watching these two play together!

[8] Oh my heart..!

[9] Sneaking in an extra one, just because I can… ;-)

Impressions‘ is a creative project by an eclectic group of female photographers from around the globe. We aim to share the inspiration behind what we do through our bi-monthly posts.

Every other month, we will be sharing 8 images that tell the story of what inspired us in the previous weeks: our families, nature, weather, or maybe even work itself! We are free to explore the meaning of ‘impressions’, and it is likely to change month to month.

Say hello in the comments below and then hop on over to see what Leslie Huckey Sarten of Leslie Meadow Photography is sharing this month :-) Then continue clicking through the circle till you make it back here – I hope you enjoy all our posts!

With love,
~ Natalie
