Yes. It really has been 15 years!

I’m celebrating 15 years in business today!! Thank you to all the families who have trusted me over the years. Every photoshoot is very special to me. I photograph with a lot of love and care. A little piece of my heart is amongst all the photos displayed on your walls and in your family albums. And I really love when I’m invited back to photograph your family year after year, it’s the biggest compliment and it means so much.

Combining my love of photography with my love of motherhood and babies, I dared to turn my passion into my profession all those years ago. Being invited to photograph families in this stage of their lives is really wonderful. It is unbelievable how 15 years have flown right by!

Whilst I started out with studio lights and all kinds of posing aids and props for sleeping newborns, my photography style completely transformed when I began photographing births. This discrete, storytelling, documentary-style of photography suited me to the core. Quietly observing, capturing a decisive moment, and holding all the images in my mind’s eye ensuring that I would have a complete story to tell with only visual imagery. Emotive stories without words. Birth stories are magical, intimate and powerful. They will always have a special place my heart.

Becoming a mother also brought changes. The way I photograph my own children and family increasingly aligns with a documentary approach. I photograph what we are doing, who we are with, where we go, and the simple every day messy moments of us together at home. These are precious memories that I treasure, and that my family treasures too.

The ordinary mundane moments of our every day are made extra special because each moment is so fleeting. Love, togetherness, childhood wonder, and joy are all so evident when captured in a photograph. The photographs I make trigger my memories and pull me right back to those moments.

It’s my wish to preserve memories and provide these kinds of special moments and observations to my clients. To gift them with the ability to see themselves through my eyes as a mother, and through the eyes of their children and family members. It is wonderful to show how much they love and are loved, especially in the seemingly ordinary every day mundane. It’s not ordinary at all.

Would you like this for yourself? Send me a quick message! I would love to arrange a photoshoot with you :)

Let’s meet each other soon.

With best wishes,
Natalie xx
