Preparing for a Mindful Birth Experience
I’ve been incorporating video into my work for some time, but more recently I’ve had the pleasure of working with Marie Vijendran and Stephanie Lowe of Mindful Birth to create a promotional video for their unique childbirth preparation course here in The Netherlands.
Working with Marie and Stephanie has given me a wonderful insight into how mindful techniques can help to minimise the discomfort of labour. If you are pregnant and looking for a course, I highly recommend this one by Mindful Birth.
The course combines a one-day workshop in Oegstgeest (between Amsterdam and The Hague, close to Leiden Central Station, just off the A44) with a 4-step home study programme, making it accessible to everyone.
Discover how being mindful (being aware of the present moment) is integral to a calm birth experience. Learn to know and trust your body. Feel positive, confident and empowered.
The next Mindful Birth workshop takes place on 18 August (2 places still available, details here) – I’ll be there, so if you’re attending this one you’ll get to meet me too! If you’re considering having your birth story photographed, I’ll be more than happy to chat with you and answer any questions you might have.
Have you attended this course before? What did you think of it? Leave a comment below!
